While 2020 has been and continues to be a challenge for many, things are looking up for a Mississauga man.

Frank Pesce won $77,777 on an Ontario Lottery Gaming (OLG) ticket, Instant Tripling Red 7s, which is the game's top prize.

The married father of two immediately told his wife and kids about the win, an OLG release said.

They said I deserve this win because of the tough year I've had," Pesce said.

The municipal facility operator was faced with illness earlier this year but is expected to fully recover," the release said.

With the proceeds from the winning ticket, Pesce said he's planning to pay some bills, help his kids and buy something nice for his wife.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Husky station on McLaughlin Road in Mississauga.
