Amid continued internal conversations regarding racism and social injustice in the United States, a handful of NFL teams are adjusting their practice schedules on Thursday.

The Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets both canceled morning sessions, with the former stating the day will be used to "discuss and work toward making a lasting social impact and inspiring change in our communities."

The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers also postponed Thursday's practice, joining the Washington Football Team, who announced Wednesday that the team wouldn't work out the following day. The Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals followed suit shortly after.

Though not every club opted for cancellation, others - including the Baltimore Ravens, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Houston Texans - will practice as scheduled but hold meetings before or afterward to discuss and plan social justice reform strategies.

The Detroit Lions were the first to cancel workouts on Tuesday to protest the police shooting of Jacob Blake, an unarmed Black man, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
