An employee at a No Frills grocery store on the Hamilton Mountain has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the store's parent company.

Loblaws was notified Thursday that a staff member at Frank's No Frills at 675 Rymal Rd. E. in Hamilton tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19," according to a listing on their online COVID-19 case database.

The last day the employee worked was Aug. 15.

The Hamilton Spectator has reached out to Loblaws for more information regarding the positive case and how many other employees may be affected.

The new case comes days after an employee tested positive for the virus at the Fortinos in Ancaster and more than a week after an employee at the Metro on Fennell Avenue East in Hamilton was confirmed to have COVID-19.

More to come.
