Possible threats in .cargo, .cache or .mozilla?
by budrz89 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#57EBG)
Hi,
I'm on a newly rebuilt BLFS version 9.1, sysvinit system, using pkgutils package manager. Today after doing a thorough scan of / using clamav-0.102.4, it produced a list of suspected files which I've attached below. Now there are some that I think are false-positives, like some database entries like in /var/lib/clamav-unofficial-sigs or in /var/lib/clamav/, but there's some that I didn't know whether or not some of the files in .cargo, .cache or .mozilla had some files that I need to worry about -- especially in .cargo as it mentioned some possible malware files. I think the contents of the cache folder can be safely deleted but I'm not sure about the others.
I also have the unofficial signatures installed after following the Arch Linux wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ClamAV
I don't want to delete anything that may be important so I figured I'd get some input on it.
