Help getting Softether connecting with Remote windows machine
by boguspersin from LinuxQuestions.org on (#57EE0)
I am running Ubuntu Mate 20.04 on a tri-core AMD machine.
I have a Softether connection with a friends remote Windows 10 machine that has a static IP. He can see the connection from the Linux box. I can confirm the connection using the status command from my Linux machine.
I've tried various suggestions from online forums but with nothing but frustration for my efforts. My Linux network knowledge isn't strong. Using a windows machine and softether is easy and works.
I can't ping the Windows machine. I can't connect to the Windows shares. I've tried a static IP for my virtual connection.
I have most of the pieces of the puzzle but lacking something.
Would someone help please? Thanks
