Removing DRM from itunes movies?

Not sure where to post this, so if admins move it, I understand.
Curious if there are any programs out there, that anyone here has used, that actually work to remove DRM from iTunes movies, and convert to mp4 files that can then be played on a Linux machine? Or other devices?
I see many out there, but often with reviews that state they don't work at all, and new to all this, but wondering if everything bought through itunes I'm stuck always to play through apple devices forever?
