The New Orleans Saints are "sending an all-out blitz" to sign free-agent pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney, reports NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.

At least two other teams are still making a play for Clowney, Pelissero adds. The Tennessee Titans have maintained an interest in signing Clowney, according to Rapoport, and the Seattle Seahawks are monitoring the situation.

Clowney has spoken with Saints coach Sean Payton multiple times, according to Pelissero.

New Orleans is making the pursuit despite being hard up against the salary cap and embroiled in contract negotiations with star running back Alvin Kamara, who's seeking a new deal.

When asked Thursday about the Seahawks pursuing Clowney, head coach Pete Carroll said: "Always competing. Always competing," according to ESPN's Brady Henderson.

The pass-rusher's price is currently too high for Seattle, reports ESPN's Dianna Russini, who adds that the Jacksonville Jaguars are also interested.

After five seasons with the Houston Texans, Clowney spent last year with the Seahawks, where he recorded personal lows of 27 tackles and three sacks in 13 games while battling injuries. The 27-year-old underwent core surgery during the offseason.
