Colts reportedly make Kelly highest-paid center with $50M extension
The Indianapolis Colts signed center Ryan Kelly to an extension Thursday.
The 2019 Pro Bowler landed a four-year, $50-million extension that will make him the highest-paid center in the NFL, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The 2016 first-round pick has started every game he's played for with the Colts since he was drafted. Kelly helped anchor an offensive line that powered the seventh-ranked running game and allowed the ninth-fewest sacks last season.
"I haven't told a lot of people this, but I never wanted to play anywhere else. This is home. This is where I wanted to be," Kelly said of the new deal, per The Athletic's Zak Keefer.
Jacksonville Jaguars center Brandon Linder was previously the highest-paid player at the position after signing a five-year, $51-million deal in 2017.
