Thunderbird taskbar mail notification

A few months ago my Thunderbird updated. When that happened, the mail notification icon I used to have telling me how many unread emails I had in the taskbar stopped working, as it wasn't compatible any more (I see I'm on v68.10.0 now).
Is there any sort of replacement available for it? I kept looking, but perhaps I've missed something.
It's frustrating I can't see anything unless I keep going Thunderbird to check.
I often have the sound on mute, so don't hear a new message sound.
