Firefox account problem
by Larry dB from LinuxQuestions.org on (#57YDH)
I am using a distro of Ubuntu 20.04 called Linux Lite. I run this from an external USB HDD and the distro is installed. I can use this on either of my 2 PC's so that is handy. My 2 PC's run Windows 7 and Firefox as the default browser. I have set up an account with Firefox so I can sync everything. I can log into my account on either PC with the same credentials with no issue. However when I try to do this in my Linux, I get an "unknown account" error. I have tried this many times and I am sure that I have not made any login errors.
I would really like to be able to transfer my settings as right now it is pretty ugly and no one font size seems to be ideal. If I remember, I was able to sync when I had the earlier distro based on Ubuntu 18.04.
I have also posted this in the Linux Lite and Mozilla forums about 2 days ago and have not had any help. I posted it on Ubuntu.com and they refused to help.
Is this a known issue with the Firefox Linux version? I have already transferred my bookmarks, but the web pages are ugly. Can I transfer my Firefox profile from my Windows machine to the profile in my Linux setup? Where would I find this? I did a search for .mozilla and got nothing.
