Ravens' Harbaugh 'dismissed' face shield after seeing fogged-up Reid
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh clearly doesn't want to become a meme.
Harbaugh said he was considering wearing a face shield on the sidelines, but that was before he saw Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid use one during the reigning champion's Week 1 victory over the Houston Texans.
"I dismissed that after last night," Harbaugh said with a smile after Friday's practice, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.
Amid a comfortable win for the Chiefs, the internet kept itself entertained with jokes about Reid's increasingly fogged-up face shield.
Can you imagine how good the Chiefs are gonna be this year once Andy Reid can finally see the field and read his playbook! 34 points last night with 5% visibility is unbelievable. pic.twitter.com/wwt4MUhMMW

Coaches are required to wear face coverings on the sidelines. Reid opted for the shield rather than a mask.
He said he struggled with the personal protection equipment issue, though it seemingly had no effect on his offense, which showed little rust with a 34-point, 369-yard performance.
"That was brutal," Reid told reporters postgame. "I didn't do very good with that thing. It will be better the next time. I appreciate you asking that, though. It was a bit of a mess, but we'll get it fixed."
