[SOLVED] Cannot instal;l software for Canon MF8230cn printer on linux mint20

HI Can any one help, there are lots of suggestions on the web and as much frustration.

Downloaded the file from the canon web site.
linux-UFRII-drv-v520-uken-05.tar.gz
Transferred the file to the desktop so the terminal can find it.
ran chmod......see print out

cannot execute binary??

The file was a zip so I unzipped it and tried again.

david@david-HP-Laptop-15-bs0xx:~/Desktop$ ./linux-UFRII-drv-v520-uken
bash: ./linux-UFRII-drv-v520-uken: Is a directory

Can any one help please.
