how to prevent "workstation idle" during long runtime work
by SaintDanBert from LinuxQuestions.org on (#58PQT)
How do I prevent my desktop from activating "workstation idle" behavior when things are running without any end-user interaction?
I know that I can go to settings and disable "workstation idle" and then restore it after whatever I'm doing is completed. Isn't there some programmatic way to keep the workstation alive for CPU and IO instead of keys and mice?
I routinely launch process with long runtime -- clone a drive, sift and filter a large number of files, etc.
Thanks in advance,
