New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold returned to Thursday's game versus the Denver Broncos after leaving in the first quarter with an apparent shoulder injury.
Darnold was slammed to the turf on a first-quarter sack, landing hard on his throwing shoulder. He remained in the game for one more play before heading to the locker room.

He was replaced by Joe Flacco who is active for the first time since signing with the Jets in the offseason.
Flacco finished one drive, but Darnold returned early in the second quarter with the Jets trailing 10-7.
