Slackware Doesn't Recognize Partition

After making a partition on Windows XP, I try to install Slackware. I am very new to it and have asked where to find its ISO file in another thread. Slackware can't see the hard drive space I just make, but only two Windows file type portions. A message says something about "unable to find a type of Linux partition".
