Report: Vikings to play Texans on Sunday after no Minnesota positives again
The Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans will play their Week 4 game as scheduled Sunday after the NFC North club again recorded no positive COVID-19 tests Thursday, the league informed both teams Friday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Vikings hosted the Tennessee Titans last week and were forced to close their facilities following a coronavirus outbreak within the Titans organization. Tennessee's outbreak has reportedly resulted in positive tests for 13 individuals so far, including seven players.
Minnesota reopened its facility and resumed practice Thursday under enhanced health and safety protocols.
Under the stricter, post-exposure measures, all players must wear gloves and face shields while on the practice field. The only exceptions for gloves are quarterbacks' throwing hands.
Players are also not allowed to gather when away from team facilities, and meetings must be conducted virtually.
The NFL announced Friday that all teams must conduct daily testing. Clubs under enhanced protocols must also test on game days.
