Julio Jones feels 'good' despite battling hamstring injury
Julio Jones' status for Monday's game against the Green Bay Packers remains uncertain, but the Atlanta Falcons wide receiver is feeling "good" after being sidelined last week with a hamstring injury.
"When you have soft-tissue, it's like a day-to-day thing," Jones said Friday, according to Vaughn McClure of ESPN. "You just really gotta feel it out.
"You're really uncertain with it, but I feel good. Just working just a little bit here and there every day, just building confidence and just getting the strength and everything back."
Jones returned to practice this week and was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday.
"I've been running really well at practice, but it's just you don't know," the seven-time Pro Bowler added. "I'm not 100% with anything, but I feel good."
The 31-year-old played through the issue against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 but aggravated the tissue during the game. The team has only had to hold Jones - who's topped 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last six seasons - out of just two games in the last three campaigns.
He's racked up 11 catches for 181 yards through two appearances this year.
The Falcons own one of football's deadliest wideout duos in Jones and Calvin Ridley, who currently leads the NFL with four receiving touchdowns.
