Schneider finished ninth among North American skaters - and fourth among defensemen - on this year's NHL Central Scouting rankings. He possesses a strong balance of size and skill and is a physical presence on the blue line who isn't afraid to be aggressive and step up on the opposition.

He also has the ability to chip in offensively, leading all Wheat Kings rearguards in scoring and finishing tops in points among first-year draft-eligible WHL defensemen in 2019-20.

What they're saying

"Schneider is a high-end skater with size who defends very well. He's a smart player but his offensive upside isn't top-end," The Athletic's Corey Pronman said.

"A right-handed shot and two-way player capable of playing the power play and penalty kill with great competitiveness and smarts, he's a more physically developed prospect and finishes checks with authority in all areas of the ice," NHL.com's Mike Morreale wrote.
