Gilmore initially tested positive Tuesday, with New England subsequently sending him for additional tests, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The Patriots won't practice Wednesday or Thursday and will operate remotely instead, according to The MMQB's Albert Breer.

The defensive back is the third Patriots player to test positive for the virus, joining quarterback Cam Newton and practice squad member Bill Murray.

Gilmore was one of the Patriots who was in close contact with Newton, according to Breer.

New England flew all personnel deemed to have been in close contact with Newton on a separate flight for Monday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs haven't recorded any positive results since Monday's contest, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.

The Patriots' Week 5 matchup against the Denver Broncos currently remains set for Sunday, but the NFL is reportedly evaluating the situation.

The #Titans-#Bills and #Patriots-#Broncos remain on as scheduled Sunday for the moment, but the NFL is in the process of evaluating everything, I'm told. Stay tuned. https://t.co/ebiInI815A
