xmgrace click on graph causes it to hang

I consider this to be a very difficult problem.

I have two similar computers, one with nvidia, and the other with
Intel UHD630. Both have the latest CentOS 7.

When I use xmgrace on UHD630 to plot graph, it is ok until when I double click
on the graph to change the default line type or symbol.
Well, a wheel came up and keep turning. It hangs.

Never have this problem.

I switch to computer with nvidia, things are working with my experience
for 10+ years.

Since both are exactly the same in terms of software, but
different behaviour, I blame this to the support of the
"graphic card" of Intel.

Unfortunately xmgrace forum seems to be inactive for some reason for a quite
some time.

I guess linux users have to keep changing tools since even when the best
legacy code out there is working and the new developments always destroy a very good work flow.

Compared to many years ago, I think there are less surprises since
every one seems to use the same tools. Now, with so many tools
competing with one another, and even the good one got tosh out.
A case in point. I have so much space on my menu bar but under gnome3 classic
I cannot put an app icon. But I can put it under destop icons but then
it is blocked by running window. I do not think I need
the solution like MATE where with MATE there will be other surprises I find recently.
So I think some Linux means endure..
