Any way to add tar gz to GNOME Files Compress Formats

On Ubuntu when you select a folder then bring up the context menu with a right click for example, and then select "compress..." you get a dialog. These dialogs changed between Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04. If you remember, 16.04 was running Unity, and 18.04 is based on Gnome 3. So the issue... in 18.04 what appears to be the dialog which is presumably presented by GNOME Files (Nautilus) is really dumbed down and only has 3 options.. tar.xz, zip, and 7z. Plus the advanced options which allowed one to set things like encryption for 7z archives and presumably compression levels are not there at all. I saw some where that GNOME files at some point moved from using File Roller for this to using it's own code... I don't know how true that is.

In any case... the question I have... is there a way to add tar.gz back into the dialog, and for that matter get back some of the advanced options via some configuration or settings somewhere? Or is it possible just to switch back to the old dialog which presumably was based on File Roller?

I realize that I can either open up file roller manually, or go to the command line to get these features... but I miss the very handy simple menu pick. At least for now, it's been dumbed down enough to be useless for me.

By the way, I tried to submit this post earlier today, but it vanished, so, sorry if suddenly two of these show up.
