The New York Jets sent all players and staff home from the team facility Friday after a presumptive positive COVID-19 test from a player, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The unnamed player has been re-tested to determine if it's a false positive, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini, and results should be revealed later in the day.

New York will work virtually on Friday, and its Week 5 game against the Arizona Cardinals doesn't appear to be in jeopardy yet, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports. The Jets remain confident COVID-19 protocols were followed despite the test.

The Cardinals gathered at the airport late Friday afternoon for their scheduled flight despite the unsettled status of the game, reports Cimini.

After a smooth start to the 2020 campaign, the NFL has faced multiple virus-related situations over the last two weeks. An outbreak on the Tennessee Titans forced the league to move their Week 4 game to Week 7, and this Sunday's matchup to Tuesday, pending further test results.

Three New England Patriots players - including Cam Newton and Stephon Gilmore - also tested positive recently.
