The New York Jets are shopping Le'Veon Bell with hopes of trading the former All-Pro running back sooner rather than later, sources told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

Bell has seemingly grown frustrated with the Jets recently, and "liked" tweets criticizing his usage following a loss to the Arizona Cardinals Sunday. He clashed with head coach Adam Gase in training camp, posting on social media that he was fit to practice through a hamstring injury when the team held him out.

The 28-year-old was looking to bounce back from a down year in 2019 coming into this season, but the rebound hasn't come to fruition. He missed three of the Jets' first five games after he reinjured his hamstring and has averaged 3.9 yards per carry on 19 rush attempts.

The 2019 season marked his first with the Jets after he signed a four-year, $52.5-million deal in free agency, and Bell averaged a career-low of only 3.2 yards per carry. He infamously sat out the 2018 season after he refused to sign the franchise tag with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the second year in a row.

Once regarded as one of the top all-purpose running backs in the NFL, Bell only has three catches for 39 yards in two appearances this season. He had 461 yards and a touchdown in the passing game last year but was accustomed to putting up greater numbers with the Steelers.

Bell was named a first-team All-Pro twice over his first five seasons with the Steelers. He has no guaranteed money left on his contract beyond the 2020 campaign.
