Titans' Lewan placed on IR with torn ACL
The Tennessee Titans placed left tackle Taylor Lewan on injured reserve after he suffered a torn ACL against the Houston Texans, the team announced Monday.
"I wanted to let everyone know I got an MRI today. I tore my ACL yesterday against Houston. Don't feel sorry for me, I'm going to handle this rehab like a pro and come back better than ever," Lewan wrote on Twitter.
The three-time Pro Bowler will miss the rest of the season, but he vowed to continue supporting his teammates.
I can't wait to watch my guys crush it, I'm going to be the biggest titans fan each and every Sunday. We are doing something special here and this small set back doesn't change a thing!

Lewan was injured in the third quarter of Sunday's contest against the Texans and immediately grabbed his knee.
The 29-year-old has made 85 career starts since the Titans selected him in the first round in 2014.
Tight end Jonnu Smith is dealing with a minor ankle sprain and is expected to be questionable for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The undefeated Titans head into Week 7 with an offense that currently ranks second in points per game.
