Virtualbox: guitar bundleware don't connect to net

Guiest system: Windows-7
Internet connection: OK
Hardware: usb connected guitar board

The bundleware for my Rolland Me-80 guitar effects
board has a driver package

me80_wind_v100.zip

and an associated application
called Boss Tone Studio package

bts_me80_w113.zip

The driver installation fails to complete
and give proper notification that the install
is finished, but any attempted reinstall
informs me that for installation the already
installed driver must first be uninstalled.

The bundleware app seems to work at least
partly so the driver must be installed (?).

Problems are that

1
I cannot save settings made in the application

2
the app cannot connect to the net as it
needs to to get assorted data from Rolland
to get to material.

It 'seems' that the usb cable connecting the
hardware is of no use, the guest w7 system
is unaware of the hardware. The driver is
likely installed but there's no communication?

I had similar probs with wine, in fact THE
reason for trying vBox is THIS hardware.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=LXNxTzTHKC4:xhqRMa6nPBA:F7zBnMy latest?i=LXNxTzTHKC4:xhqRMa6nPBA:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=LXNxTzTHKC4:xhqRMa6nPBA:gIN9vFwLXNxTzTHKC4
