No Wi-fi adapter found nor is Bluetooth found

The following comdl tools are not on my laptop either. iwconfig and iwlist. No wifi/wlan is listed using ifconfig either. How to i recover. yesterday morning all was working. I diconnect my laptop from my home network and traveled to an away meeting. Did not use my laptop or even plug up. Returned this morning and no wifi and no bluetooth......
