The Seattle Seahawks are among multiple teams positioned to make a push to sign wide receiver Antonio Brown, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

The Seahawks have not started official contract discussions with the suspended Brown, per Schefter. Brown is eligible to be reinstated following Week 8.

The NFL suspended the free-agent wideout during the offseason for violations of the league's personal conduct policy.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was asked about Brown on Wednesday and indicated that nothing has happened yet but said "we'll see what happens as it goes forward," per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

Brown's name has been linked to the Seahawks in the past. The receiver even caught passes from Russell Wilson over the summer.

The 32-year-old Brown was traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Raiders, now of Las Vegas, in 2019 but failed to make it to the regular season with the team after demanding a release. The New England Patriots then signed Brown but cut him following one game due to problems off the field.

Brown has caught 841 passes for 11,263 receiving yards during his career.
