Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has fumbled five times through six games this season, including twice in Dallas' 38-10 loss Monday. However, the star tailback is taking his struggles in stride.

"I just think I need to not put myself in vulnerable situations. I've just got to lock in and focus," Elliott said, according to ESPN's Todd Archer.

"I don't think there's a specific answer," Elliott continued. "All I can do is ... watch as much film as I can, gather as much information as I can, and try to use that to help me. But I don't think there's an exact answer on how to fix these fumble problems I've had this year."

Although Elliott is vowing to work hard to correct his recent fumbling issues, the three-time Pro Bowler doesn't believe dwelling on past mistakes will help solve the problem.

"I'm not going to be able to change the amount of times I put the ball on the ground this year," Elliott said. "That's not going to change at all. What I focus on, what I can control, is my play from here on out, so, I've got to put that behind me."

The 25-year-old has rushed for 415 yards and fives touchdowns this season. He has also caught 32 receptions for 204 yards and a score.

Dallas has committed a league-high 15 turnovers in 2020, including nine fumbles. However, the Cowboys currently sit atop the NFC East at 2-4.
