New study of medieval plagues offers insight into spread of COVID-19, researchers say

The number of people who died from the Black Death in the 14th century doubled about every six weeks, while the doubling rate from the Great Plague in the 17th century was every two weeks according to a new study out of McMaster University that researchers say relates to the current pandemic.
