File list does not get updated realtime

I'm trying to make my non smart tv a smart tv by using my old android phone with usb cable. I am able to record the screen and play it in the tv with a lag of some minutes. But i cannot watch it continuously. I will have to use remote after a amount of time to play the next recorded mp4. So I tried keeping empty mp4 files and replacing them with the new recorded files that get recorded after some time using a script that i have made. But still my tv keeps the old indexing of files. Even after keeping empty mp4 files , I am not able to watch it continuously. Is there a way to update the indexing of my tv or some other alternatives? I have tried keeping not empty but some movies in place of them but all in vein . I use the same file name like 100 to 999 but even after replacing my tv plays these movies not the recorded files . So the main problem is indexing please help.
