Writing scripts in linux Intro

Greetings to all. Like some of you, a lot of what I know about linux is self-taught and an introductory course. My goal is to get to linux administrator and then on to script writing. I am pleased to be on a global forum! Any ideas on linux script writing for an administrator? :study:
