The Cincinnati Bengals told disgruntled defensive end Carlos Dunlap to stay home from workouts on Wednesday as they sort out his future, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Bengals are engaged in discussions with other clubs about trading Dunlap, Rapoport adds.

Dunlap took to social media following Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns and appeared to list his Cincinnati home.

A day earlier, the 31-year-old voiced his frustration with Cincinnati's defensive line rotations. He also reportedly discussed his displeasure with his lack of playing time earlier in the month.

Dunlap's effort against the Browns was seen as inexcusable to his coaching staff, according to MMQB's Albert Breer. This, along with his on-tape production, is making it more difficult to trade the veteran.

The NFL's trade deadline is scheduled for Nov. 3.
