pm-hibernate takes long
by saxa from LinuxQuestions.org on (#59N2Q)
Hi, I am using pm-hibernate from my terminal to hibernate my laptop daily.
After I finish my work I issue pm-hibernate and until next day I am ok.
But what I noticed is that after some time it starts to take longer to
save all stuff and hibernate.
So if I boot normally and then I issue the pm-hibernate it takes about 5 seconds
and the laptop is hibernated.
After doing it a week like that this 5 seconds become maybe 10 or even 20 seconds.
I guess this is because on my swap space there is already an old image or is this
just something different ?
I am still on slackware 14.2 with kernel 4.4.217.
Is there some way I could optimize that ?
