Recovery broken OS after broken drive
by DangerSchwob from LinuxQuestions.org on (#59NT7)
Hi,
I have a odroid that is running Armbian based on Debian stretch.
The SD card with the OS installed on it failed after some months. I were able to mount the broken SD card on an other system and were able to copy the most files, but some files are lost.
I have installed on new SD card armbian again and copied over the files I have recovered from the old system, but it still don't boot. I have done many configurations on this system, thats reason why I want to copy over the files.
I have the problem that the odroid don't have a option to connect a display to it, so I can't say at which point it fail to boot. If someone know a log file to check, that would be create. All logs files in /var/log don't change.
Long story short:
I'm searching a recovery/repair tool that I can run over a drive to fix a broken OS.
Thanks
