just installed debian, hdmi monitor is stuck at 729x480 next to unuseable how do I fix this?
by OhioGuy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#59TBH)
I just spent the last 4 days installing debian 7 times until it finally decided to work. (long story)
My main problem now is my HDMI monitor only has 3 screen choices
720x480, 720x400 or 640x480 all with a font that resembles the russian language.
How does one go about fixing this. The debian.org they tell you read is way out of date, web search is same way, millions of posts about
this problem back when HDMI 1st came out but no buster suggestions.
Oh I had the debian LXDE installed, I own a raspberry pi and it refuses to install correctly so I thought I would load debian on a desktop and try to learn why the pi installation refuses to work.
Beginning to see why.
Thank for your help.
