Hamilton police close investigation into reported suspicious vehicle in Binbrook
Hamilton police have concluded an investigation into a reported suspicious vehicle in Binbrook last week and found the incident did not occur as reported.
Police were called to Laidman Park, at 170 Great Oak Trail, in Binbrook on Oct. 28 after an interaction between a child and a suspicious vehicle with at least three occupants.
After an extensive canvass and obtaining surveillance video, detectives from the Mountain criminal investigation branch were able to identify the vehicle and driver, who co-operated with investigators, police said.
It was a delivery vehicle and the occupants' actions that day were related to their work.
After reviewing all the information gathered, detectives are concluding that the incident did not occur as initially reported," police said in a news release.
Police thanked the community for their assistance.
