Application opens without borders on Budgie session only

Hi,

I have a problem using an application, Xiphos (a Bible study programme) on Ubuntu Budgie 20.04.

On opening, it starts maximised and without any window dressing. If I use alt-space for the window menu, the options for 'Move' and 'Resize' are greyed out.

However, it does not happen on xfce4 or gnome desktop environments, or on budgie if I start it as root.

The programme runs normally, with no terminal output of errors at all.

I can post debug output if someone would say what flags to use. No other applications are affected.

Interestingly, on switching to gnome to use it, when I return to budgie, it runs normally. This is at least until I maximise the window (or open another subwindow, e.g. Prferences). After then, when I close the programme and open it, it is back to before.

Would anyone know what to do?

Thanks,
