The Cincinnati Bengals aren't expected to trade wide receiver John Ross before Tuesday's deadline, a source told Tyler Dragon of the Enquirer.

Ross is in the last year of his rookie contract and set to become a free agent in the offseason. He requested a trade last week due to a lack of playing time.

The 2017 first-round pick has played just 15% of the Bengals' offensive snaps this season, amassing two catches for 17 yards on seven targets. He's been sidelined the last two games with an illness.

Ross had a career year - albeit a modest one - last season with 28 receptions, 506 yards, and three touchdowns.

The 2-5-1 Bengals traded disgruntled defensive lineman Carlos Dunlap to the Seattle Seahawks last week.
