It's that time again - on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, the FCBA Young Lawyers Committee and the FCBA Foundation will hold their 31st Annual FCBA Charity Auction virtually this year. While the event is still free and open to the public, unlike prior years, this year you can attend from behind your computer screen. Below are a few quick Q&A's to get you prepared for what to expect:

What will the program be like during the 31st Annual FCBA Charity Auction?

This year's FCBA Charity Auction will be a livestream gala featuring inspiring stories, performances, and-of course-an amazing online auction with packages you'll only find from FCBA! We'll also hear from this year's beneficiaries, Reach Incorporated and the FCBA Foundation.

Who are this year's beneficiaries?

Reach Inc. recruits and trains DC high school students to become reading tutors and role models for elementary school students, resulting in improved literacy outcomes for both groups. Through Reach, struggling teen readers are able to practice fundamental literacy skills by reading children's books to elementary school students. The funds raised from this year's Charity Auction will help Reach support their various programs and fuel the continued expansion of their new college and career-readiness initiative, The Reach Fellowship, which helps teens prepare for success after graduation.

The FCBA Foundation supports the Foundation College Scholarship Program, Law School Summer Stipend Program, and Law School Scholarship Program. The Foundation will use proceeds from the Charity Auction to support its annual College Scholarship Program which provides financial assistance and laptop computers to DC public high school students to assist them in attending college.
