UPDATED: Hamilton police trying to identify victim after late-night stabbing
Hamilton police are trying to identify a man found with apparent life-threatening stab wounds Sunday night.
The unidentified victim remains in hospital in critical condition after being found in the area of Barton Street East and Strathearne Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. Nov. 8.
Police describe the victim as a man in his early 20s, five-foot-six to five-foot-nine, with a thin build, light to medium complexion, dark, ear-length hair and dark brown eyes. He has no facial hair and tattoos on his left hand.
Barton Street East remains closed between Strathearne and Paling avenues and Strathearne is closed from Barton to Vansitmart Avenue, said Const. Krista-Lee Ernst.
Detectives from the east end criminal investigation branch are investigating.
