Hamilton police identify east-end stabbing victim found near Barton St. E.
Hamilton police say they have identified a stabbing victim found with life-threatening injuries Sunday night.
The man was found at Barton Street East and Strathearne Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. Nov. 8.
On Monday, police issued an appeal to the public to help identify the victim, who was in hospital in critical condition.
Police described the victim as a man in his early 20s, five-foot-six to five-foot-nine, with a thin build, light to medium complexion, dark, ear-length hair and dark brown eyes. He has no facial hair and tattoos on his left hand.
On Tuesday morning, police said he had been identified, but offered no further details.
Police are still looking for anyone with information about what happened to call detectives from the criminal investigation branch.
