Browns' Chubb 'not sure' he'll be cleared to play vs. Texans
Despite returning to practice this week, Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is uncertain about his availability for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.
"I'm not sure," Chubb said Wednesday when asked about the possibility of being active against Houston, according to Grant Gordon of NFL.com. "There is still a lot more to it than me just feeling good. I have to go through doctors, team athletic trainers, and coaches. It is more than just me saying I feel great."
Chubb has missed four games with an MCL sprain suffered during Cleveland's Week 4 win against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Browns designated him to return from injured reserve Monday, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that day that Cleveland was "very hopeful" Chubb would play in Week 10.
The 24-year-old Georgia product has rushed for 335 yards and four touchdowns in four appearances this season. Kareem Hunt has become the focal point of the Browns' run game in Chubb's absence.
Chubb tallied 1,494 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging five yards per carry in 2019.
