PHOTOS: Friday the 13th in Port Dover, COVID edition
Bikers appeared to heed the COVID-19 warning this Friday the 13th, with the majority of annual revelers staying home and some Port Dover businesses even remaining closed for the festivities.
Hamilton Spectator photographer Barry Gray spent the morning in Dover, snapping photos of the few dozen motorcycles that rumbled into town, where typically thousands show up.
The recent spate in unseasonably warm temperatures had public health officials in Norfolk County worried that any sunny skies on Friday could bring thousands of bikers to the small lakeside town. As Friday the 13th isn't an organized event, it can't be formally cancelled.
