Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater exited Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and didn't return due to a knee injury.

Head coach Matt Rhule didn't have an update on Bridgewater immediately following the contest, according to ESPN's David Newton. Bridgewater will have an MRI, but the injury isn't believed to be serious, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The quarterback suffered the injury when Buccaneers pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul sacked him late in the fourth quarter.

Teddy Bridgewater went to get checked.
