Squid cert errors. Allow them through?

Having trouble understanding this option.

http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/confi...xy_cert_error/

I'd like to ultimately squid my whole lan with http and https. I want to do this at the router level however if a machine lacks the cert then it can continue to the page anyway? Thus allowing me to simplify my own proxy at home while not having to worry about certs on rokus, smart tvs, phones, tablets and such? Or the occasional website that squid seems to dislike (i've read this is due to website misconfiguration?)

Is this the option I want as such?
