USB bootdisk - boots up to dead keyboard
by Gordie from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5ATVQ)
My old desktop computer applied mega-updates to Windows 10. Must have overwritten the MBR so that only Slackware would boot. Trying to boot Windows showed "no OS found"
I used the Windows install DVD and the command line to repair the MBR so that now Windows boots but not Slackware.
Have tried a Slackware install disk and also tried a Slackware boot USB to boot Slackware so that I can repair Lilo but am stopped cold. The keyboard works to type UNTIL my computer actually boots then there is no way to login because the keyboard is dead.
Not sure what to do. Ideas?
