Toshiba Satellite Pro L670

Hi I'm Chris and new to this forum as well as to Linux.
I have tried to use linux for the Toshiba Satellite Pro l670-18T and did not succeed. I used an ISO from Linuxmint (several distributions) none of them work. The boot does not succeed. Can anyone help me to get started?
