New York Jets head coach Adam Gase on Sunday denied a report that he took back primary play-calling responsibilities for his team's 20-3 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported prior to kickoff that Gase was expected to reclaim play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains for the contest.

Gase stopped calling plays on Oct. 25 against the Buffalo Bills. The Jets averaged 18.5 points over four games with Loggains in charge after averaging 12.5 over their first six contests with Gase calling the offense.

New York welcomed quarterback Sam Darnold back to the lineup versus Miami after he missed two games with a shoulder injury. Darnold went 16-for-27 for 197 yards and two interceptions.

The Jets finished Week 12 as the only winless team in the NFL.
