[SOLVED] Battery triggered power actions no longer work after updating to upower-0.99.11-x86_64-1.txz
by bitfuzzy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5B0GY)
Dell Precision 7520 (Laptop) running Slackware-Current64 w/ KDE
Issue: After installing upower-0.99.11-x86_64-1.txz battery power events no longer work
Last night (3AM) I turned off the power strip to my laptops power supply, and when I woke up I found the device was still running with the battery depleted.
It died as I re-applied power
Expected behavior:
Remove power -
Display dims
After a period of time - the display dims further
A little while later - the display turns off
A short while later - the device goes into hibernation
Additionally, when the battery gets below a certain level, the Laptop used to perform a shutdown
Now nothing happens, it runs as if it has power
Current behavior:
Remove power - nothing happens
