Elantech Touchpad Issue on Toshiba Satellite E55 - Debian 10 + KDE

Hi! And thanks for reading.

I've recently started using GNU-Linux, with Debian Buster being my OS in a dualboot setup (Win7 on the side).

The touchpad has never worked on Debian.
I used a USB mouse during installation process, but cannot confirm if the touchpad was working during installation.
Perhaps installing Debian with a USB mouse plugged in caused the problem?

What have I tried so far?
  1. Fn+F5 button to enable/disable touchpad.
  2. Configuration of Desktop Environment (KDE Plasma) to make sure it wasn't getting in the way.
  3. Tried Xfce D.Env. to make sure it wasn't KDE.
  4. Tried LiveBooting Ubuntu from a USB Drive, to see if a newer kernel version fixed the problem.
  5. Installed and checked for presence of several xserver-xorg-input drivers (synaptics, evdev, libinput).

Some information

I have gathered as much information as I've managed to with very limited knowledge on CLI usage.

No sign of alarm...

Lastly, my KDE Touchpad app showing up on my system tray indicates that my touchpad is active.
Haven't detected an error message so far.
And my touchpad still works normally on Win7

Why ask for help?

Hoping to learn while solving this issue, I've realized that before trying to understand all of the complexity involved in troubleshooting this on my own, perhaps some help from the Linux community might guide me in the right direction.

My main goal is to learn along the way, so I also appreciate all advice as to how should I proceed proactively when facing these kind of issues.

Thanks again and have a nice week!latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=ZYOmalKQGEI:8nruYMHmt_s:F7zBnMy latest?i=ZYOmalKQGEI:8nruYMHmt_s:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=ZYOmalKQGEI:8nruYMHmt_s:gIN9vFwZYOmalKQGEI
